NAVARATRI
Navaratari means the festival of nine nights. The nine nights
worship is divided into three days worship for each of the goddesses:

Durga

Godess of Shakti
|

Lakshmi
|
Godess of wealth
|
|
|
Sarasvati
|
Godess of knowledge
|
|
The tenth day is the Vijaydashmi,
the day of victory over the demon Rama over the demon Ravana.
During the nine days, people observe fast and pray to the above
Godesses. At night Hindu's dance around an image of Devi. The
